    Representing a FOB garment trading company based in Hong Kong and its Chinese subsidiary (WFOE) – suppliers of a world-renown multinational fashion group – in disputes over serious breach of several purchase agreements with their Chinese manufacturers, concerning noncompliance with AZO standards in the garment industry.

  • Representing a Dutch interior design company in a litigation against a Chinese party in Hangzhou

    Representing a large Dutch interior design company in a dispute with a Chinese supplier. The case, which was brought to the Xihu district court in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, was decided in favor of the client. The total claimed amount was USD 353,806.60, which was awarded to the client in full. We assisted in pre-litigation strategy, seizure of assets and the full litigation procedure, including the attending of 2 hearings.
  • Assist in the bankruptcy application of a French-Chinese joint-venture

    Preparing and filing bankruptcy for a joint venture company owned by a Chinese State Owned Enterprise and a French agriculture machinery production company before a Shandong Intermediate court. Our work involves the maneuvering through local regulations, local employee protection, internal unpublished court rules and different approaches between the civil and enforcement court division.
  • Acting for a Luxembourg engineering company in a business secrets infringement and unfair competition litigation

    Litigation on behalf of an established engineering company with a long history in China at the Beijing Haidian District Court for unfair competition and trade secret infringement against a competing Hebei company and former key management staff. The estimated claim amounts to 7 million RMB.
  • Advise a UK insurance company and the insured against a Chinese food processing product manufacturer

    Acting for a UK insurance company and the insured regarding a Chinese manufactured defaulting product causing a fire in a shop of a large Northern Europe retail chain causing damages in the amount of 10 million RMB.
  • Legal counsel in Shandong Court litigation with respect to a RMB 10 million subrogated product liability claim

    Acting for an international insurer in the first-instance and appeal legal proceedings in a Shandong court against a Chinese equipment manufacturer regarding a RMB 10 million subrogation claim with product liability arising from malfunction of the processing equipment purchased by a food business in England. Our work consisted among other in gathering and explaining foreign evidence and foreign expert reports to Chinese court judges.
